Our 90 yr old auntie is in the hospital and it looks like she won't be
going back into her house. We have taken her doggie for now and are
looking for a good home for him. Perhaps you might know someone that
would love him as much as we do.
He was rescued from the SPCA about 2 1/2 yrs ago, so he is around 7-8
yrs old. His name is Cooly. He is about 40 pds .He is a mix of maybe
Terrier and something else. He is a lovely, quiet dog. Does hardly bark.
Only when we say "car ride". He sits and shakes a paw etc. He is very
low maintenance from what we can tell so far.
We would actually keep him, but we are just travelling too much. He has
not been around little kids too much, so a family with older kids or no
kids would be best.
We need help to find him a good home, it would brake my heart if we
would have to send him to the SPCA again. He deserves better, he is such
a lovely guy!!! Please spread the word, you never know....
Call me anytime if you have questions.
Thanks, Karin and Murray

Toby is a big, strong boy with movie star looks! He can sometimes use his strength to seek attention so he needs a confident handler who can teach him how to behave more appropriately. Toby loves his food and toys so would prefer an adult only home where he won’t have children wanting to share his stuff! Toby is very active and loves the great outdoors. He is a fun-loving guy with boundless energy and a great outlook on life. Toby is looking forward to going to a home where he can burn off his energy having fun and games with his new forever family!

Lab needs a home
This is a purebred chocolate lab pup, he is about 7 months old, not neutered, and is going to turn out to be a pretty good dog.
He dosent seem to have any issues, listens well, extremely friendly. The kids got him going on a Frisbee, fetching / returning, and sitting. All in a week!
He was dumped out here at our farm and typically take them into the SPCA when this happens. But, this one is different, he’s a good dog. As per the note that was left tied to the tree with him, he has all his shots, (they left the vet passport book) birth date March 8th, and was bought and paid $700 for in Alberta.
If you can forward to your contact, I’d appreciate it. Contact info is listed below.

Shadow and Max need a home
Both these youngsters came to Calgary Humane alone
but met
each other in play sessions and are fast friends.
While either
would make great pets alone, their friendship shows
how dog friendly and
appropriate they can be. Max and Shadow are loved
by our staff and
have benefited from lots of behaviour training which
has helped channel their
youthful exuberance.
Shadow was initially a rescue from another group, then
surrendered by his adopter for lack of time to spend
with him. Max was
surrendered when his owner lost her job.
Both are around a year old and both are athletic dogs
that
love to play, hike, walk, and can enjoy calmer times
and lots of snuggles. We
don’t know why their adorable faces and sweet
personalities have not
attracted forever homes, but they have been with us
since July and are longing
for their own families. They love attention, and
are dog-to-dog
friendly, and would make fabulous hiking companions
or other activities.
If anyone is interested in them as a duo, we will make a
special adoption of two for the price of one and a
half ($225 and $125). Both
are neutered, have their shots and deworm, and as I
mentioned have been working
well with Behaviour staff on their manners and
training. They also
come with 6 weeks of free PetSecure insurance, 6
months City of Calgary licenses, and
one-on-one behaviour consults with our Behaviour
Department Head.

My
brother has been taking care of Casey since mom passed away last year, but he
is making a decision to move to Athabasca for work in November. My
mother adopted Casey from elderly neighbors, 8 years ago so we can't confirm
how old he is but guess he is 10. He's had a great deal of change to
deal with lately and we're both concerned that this move could be difficult
for him...plus a very cold winter at home alone while my brother is working.
I have attached a picture of him and just ask that you share it
with anyone you know who might be willing to provide him a loving home.
Our son Joey is allergic and so he is on inhalers and asthma medicine while
we spend time with him...a tough situation for us to keep him.
He is loving, obedient, very relaxed, laid-back and loyal
dog. He's so easy to have around, but is getting
up in age
and would prefer a little extra TLC.
I appreciate the help. Please let me know if anyone may be
interested in learning more about Casey. I can be reached
via e-mail or phone at 403.475.9325.
Thanks so much.
Wendy.
