The recession of 2007 reminded us how important it is to support our local economy. Supporting our local economy is not only good for Canada and Canadian entrepreneurs, but it’s good for the environment! Sourcing as many local products as possible reduces gas consumption and emissions during transportation.
Our Local Products
- Almost 100% of our raw pet foods are manufactured in Western Canada
- We have a HUGE selection of Canadian made pet treats
- Our dry pet food selection is growing to include more and more Canadian made brands
Although sourcing local and Canadian made products is of the utmost importance to us, we will always maintain the high quality standards our customers are used to, and never compromise – no matter where it’s made!

ECO-Friendly
Although Tail Blazers has always been ECO friendly, we will be expanding our search and sourcing as many ECO friendly and locally made products as possible.
Our ECO-Friendly Products
- All of our waste disposal bags (poop bags) are degradable/biodegradable
- We use only biodegradable shopping bags for our customers and re-usable shopping bags are available
- We also carry a number of non-toxic, ECO friendly/recycled toys, bowls, shampoos, and bedding
- Our cat litters are all natural and biodegradable made of things like corn, wheat, pine, nutshells, etc.
- We even carry reclaimed/recycled pet apparel including collars, leashes, sweaters, and jackets
