POULTRY
Poultry is the clean combination of flesh and skin with or without accompanying bone, derived from the parts or whole carcasses of poultry or a combination of thereof - exclusive of feathers, heads, feet, and entrails. (AAFCO, 2003) Poultry is an unpredictable ingredient, which can contain any type of fowl, including buzzards, geese, and other birds. Because it is non-specific, label listings of just “poultry” should be avoided.
