GLYCERIN

Glycerin (or glycerine) is also known as glycerine or glycerol. Glycerin is a sweetener and a food preservative that is made from a by-product of biodiesel production (vegetable oils). Though glycerin is used as a sugar substitute, it does not affect blood sugar like sucrose does, however, sweeteners do not add any nutritional value to food, and they are often addictive.
