ESSENTIAL FATTY ACIDS

Essential fatty acids are also known as omega 3 (linolenic acid or alpha linolenic) and omega 6 (linoleic acid– LA or GLA) fatty acids. Essential means that they need to come from the diet because the body does not produce them. Fish oils contain EPA and DHA, specific kinds of omega 3 fatty acids. Essential fatty acids support skin and coat (keep the coat shiny and healthy), immune system health, nervous system development and maintenance, reduce inflammation and help maintain visual acuity.
