ARACHADONIC ACID

Arachadonic acid (AA) is an omega 6 fatty acid that is found in eggs, fish and meats. Supplementation is not necessary, as it is plentiful in food. Too much AA, without enough of the other omega fatty acids can cause excess inflammation and blood clots. Animals do need to get AA in proper dietary amounts. This is especially important for cats, as they cannot manufacture their own. Dogs can, however, make their own AA.
